These Spring and Easter decor hacks for 2025 will give you some easy ideas to brighten up your home, especially when the weather persists in being grey and cold!
Of course, Spring and Easter are all about new life, rebirth, and regeneration. Birds are nesting, rabbits are doing what rabbits do best, you know the drill! And as days lengthen and temperatures rise, everyone feels brighter and more optimistic.
You might fancy a full spring spruce up for your home décor. But if that’s a step too far, using accessories is always a great way to change the vibe in your home.
#1 Colours
It’s no real surprise that the enduring favourite spring and Easter décor colours are pastels – baby pinks and blues, soft minty greens.
What’s interesting this year is the occasional, and less ordinary, splash of bold colours or something metallic. Add some different wall art with pretty pastel tones, a metallic look lamp or vase with a cyanotype shade (have a look at bridgetarnold.co.uk) , or a new mirror opposite a window that brings extra light. Cute throw cushions, indoor wreaths with pastel colours, or throw rugs layered over your existing carpets and rugs; they all lift the ambience of a room. #2 Natural elements and botanicals
Imagine incorporating natural fibres like jute, linen, wicker and rattan. Woven baskets, rattan base wreaths, linen throws, or knitted and crocheted cushions for that vintage cottage look.

‘Bringing the outside in’ is an enduring trend and is mentioned in all sorts of fashionable ideas. Truth be told, green is a restful, uplifting colour. And if indoor plants are not your thing (me neither) think about lush faux foliage, or bunches of green preserved foliage like eucalyptus, in a contrasting vase
#3 Light textures
Will you go to the trouble of changing your heavier winter curtains for lighter ones for the change of season? Not everyone has the time (or cash!) to do this, so instead consider adding simple voile drapes to diffuse bright light while lifting the whole energy of the room. They are easy to clean and can be used all year round. Sweep aside those heavy winter drapes and let the voile do its magic. I’ve done this in my office and the result is lovely! (No photos because my office is a paper storm!) And for a pop of enduring , cheering spring colour, add silk tulips in a ceramic vase. (Some beauties available in Malden and Wilde’s Spring Collection)
#4 Sustainable and functional pieces

We are all becoming much more conscious about sustainability and eco-friendly products. It also makes sense to have functional pieces that both enhance your décor and serve a purpose. A pretty, handwoven basket is both practical and attractive, expecially in s small space.

Wicker containers, natural woven baskets for stashing stuff, are all readily available both online and in stores, and add to the natural vibe. Consider using small independent retailers in preference to the big stores – you will get quality service and quite possibly handmade products that are beautiful and enduring. Farmers’ markets or crafty markets can also be a good source.
